Burial: Outline
The Council's Cemeteries Officer works closely with local funeral directors to provide a burial service to those that are bereaved.
The Council operates six cemeteries in the Borough at Colne, Nelson, Barrowford, Barnoldswick, Earby and Sough, and a memorial wall in each of the cemeteries, except Nelson.
The Council compiles a burial register, and offers plots for Muslim burials, although it does not operate any crematoria.
