Pendle residents are being invited to a drop-in event to discuss proposals to create new housing at the former Lob Lane Mill site

The re-development plans for the mill and its outbuildings on Clitheroe Road, Brierfield, will be revealed on Friday March 26th at Brierfield Community Centre from 2 - 8pm.

Pendle Council and its joint venture company PEARL2 will be seeking feedback on plans to transform the former industrial site into a modern housing development with the creation of 60 new homes.

The Council purchased the mill earlier this year.

The main warehouse will be retained and refurbished to create three and four bedroomed town houses.

Other buildings on site would be demolished to make way for houses and apartments.

The drop-in event will give residents a chance to look at and comment on the proposals before they are submitted for planning permission.

The scheme's designers will be available to answer questions and listen to any comments.

Light refreshments will be provided throughout the day.

Councillor Sonia Robinson, the Council's Executive member for Housing Regeneration, urged people to attend the event, saying: "We appreciate residents' participation as we seek to provide the kind of housing that's required, particularly affordable housing that people want."
