Pendle’s innovative companies which have something to shout about are being urged to get their entries in for Pendle Business Awards 2010.
Applications and nominations can be made until Friday February 5 online via http://www.pendle.gov.uk/ or http://www.pendlevision.org/
This year the awards aim to recognise the borough's innovative local companies which, despite the pressures of the credit crunch, are still flourishing.
There are 11 categories to choose from. So whether you're a micro company with a specialist trade, a growing small to medium-sized business or a large company with a worldwide reputation, there'll be a category for you.
Dennis Mendoros , OBE, DL, FRAeS, Chairman of Pendle Vision and Managing Director of Euravia Engineering and Supply Co Ltd, explained:
"We have a lot of very successful companies in Pendle which deserve recognition and Pendle Business Awards 2010 will celebrate the best of Pendle's high achievers."
Councillor Allan Buck, who has responsibility for Economic Development, added: "There's only a matter of days left to get your entries in, so please act quickly.
"The online forms are really easy to complete and you can apply for any category you fit the criteria for.
"If you have something to shout about we want to hear from you!
Companies eligible to apply for an award will have achieved:
an improved business performance
better staff motivation and training
development of new products, processes or markets
savings by improved energy efficiency or waste management
improved relationships with customers and the community.
The last Pendle Business Awards in 2008 had all the glitz and glamour of The Oscars, showcasing the best of the borough's businesses.
And Pendle Vision and Pendle Council, joint organisers of this year's event, are working hard to make sure it's even bigger and better.
Those shortlisted by the judging panel will join a select group of Pendle's most successful businesses at a prestigious awards evening at the Arts, Culture and Enterprise (ACE) Centre in Nelson, on April 23.
