Recycling Roadshows - Your Last Chance to Come Along

On the last two Saturdays Pendle Council staff have been out and about with information stands in Colne, Barnoldswick, Nelson and Barrowford.

And this Saturday (22 August) we'll be at Brierfield Community Centre between 9am and 11am.

Councillor John David, who represents recycling in Pendle, said :

"If you haven't yet been to one of our recycling roadshows, the event in Brierfield is your last chance.

"Come along to talk to our staff about the changes to Pendle's recycling collections.

"You can put your questions to us face to face, and have a look at the new brown bins."

Carole Taylor, Waste Services Manager, said :

"The roadshows have been going really well, with plenty of people turning up to talk to us.

"The majority have positive things to say about the changes to recycling collections.

"Many people are putting their names down for a smaller 140 litre brown bin, rather than the standard 240 litre size.

"If you think a smaller brown bin might suit you better, why not come to Brierfield on Saturday to have a look."

Anyone who comes along to the Brierfield event on 22 August will also have the chance to win a Rasul mud bath treatment and Inside Spa passes.

The new recycling collections start in September.

The arrival of over 40,000 brown bins will make recycling a whole lot easier.

Homes in Pendle are getting a new brown wheelie bin, into which go empty plastic bottles, food and drinks cans, glass bottles and jars.
