Recycling roadshows - your chance to find out more

On three Saturdays in August, Council staff will be setting up information stands in Colne, Barnoldswick, Nelson, Barrowford and Brierfield.

They will be full of information about the new brown bins, and what goes into them.

You'll be able to have a look at the brown bins, including a smaller 140 litre version.

And, if you think the smaller brown bin would suit you better, you can put your name down for one at the roadshows.

You will also have the chance to win Inside Spa passes at each event.

Councillor John David, who represents recycling in Pendle, said :

"We've organised these roadshows to give you the chance to put your questions to us face to face.

"We're already delivering leaflets to homes in Pendle about the new collections, which start in September.

"And our contact centre is handling lots of calls from residents with questions.

"The roadshows give you another way of finding out more. Why not come along?"

9-11am Pendle Rise, Nelson

12.30-2.30pm Barrowford Civic Hall

Saturday 22 August

9-11am Brierfield Community Centre

The arrival of over 40,000 brown bins will make recycling a whole lot easier.

Homes in Pendle are getting a new brown wheelie bin, into which go empty plastic bottles, food and drinks cans, glass bottles and jars.
