The Blacko based photographer has recently unveiled a collection of photographs entitled, simply, 'Pendle'.

His 120 page book is a stunning photographic guide of Pendle Hill and the surrounding area.

It includes many large format panoramic works, and shows Pendle Hill in all seasons and weathers.

And Mr Lee will be signing copies at the official book launch on Tuesday 31st March in the Discover Pendle Centre outside Colne's Boundary Mill.

Alastair Lee said:

"I'm so pleased with how the book is being received as it's a culmination of many years of work.

"It's particularly nice to see the mainstream press picking up on the book.

"There's something quintessentially English about Pendle that gives it a wide appeal.

Councillor Allan Buck , who represents tourism in Pendle, said :

"I congratulate Alastair on his work.

"The photographs in this book are absolutely stunning and make me even more proud to live in Pendle.

"As a local, I know that our area is a dramatically beautiful one and his collection of photographs capture that spectacular beauty so well.

"This book will make a great gift for Pendle people living here or away."

Mike Williams, Tourism Team Leader for Pendle Council, said :

"The book is a stunning representation of how breathtaking Pendle and its hill are.

"I'm sure that this book will encourage many people to visit the area to see its beauty for themselves."
