Pendle Council launches A Pocket Full of Help
Published Friday 13th February 09
The Neighbourhood Management Team at Pendle Council prides itself on being there to help local residents.
Now it's taken that commitment one step further...by providing a mini booklet called A Pocket Full Of Help.
The tiny green spiral notebook is packed with useful contact numbers and information about issues such as How To Report Fly Tipping, Getting Help To Stop Smoking, Reporting Crime and getting medical help outside surgery hours.
Rebecca Cronshaw, Deputy Neighbourhood Manager for Nelson said: "We thought about all the things people had asked us about over our time working in Pendle.
We put together a "Top Ten" topics which people most frequently asked us about and which we thought would be most helpful."
She continued: "The guides are pocket sized and can be carried round in purses, bags, wallets and so on.
The information was provided by a range of different agencies and organisations.
We've also included advice on the kind of information people might be asked for when reporting different issues."
The Guides will be distributed at local Neighbourhood Action Group meetings in Nelson, Brierfield and Colne. They'll also be available from local libraries and shops.
If any local groups would like copies they should contact Rebecca on 01282 661564.
