Published Wednesday 8th February 12
Nelson’s newest Enterprise Centre, which provides state-of-the-art offices in the heart of the town, is the new home for Pendle Community Network (PCN).
The ACE Centre offices take up the top two floors of the £6.5m Arts, Culture and Enterprise (ACE) Centre on Cross Street.
And PCN, which was based in Cross Street for more than 10 years, has taken up three offices.
They're having an "At Home" event on Wednesday 15th February between 11.00am and 1.30pm for anyone who's interested in seeing their new base and finding out more about what PCN is all about.
Stephen Smith, Pendle Community Network Manager, said: "We're thrilled to move into the ACE Centre and look forward to vibrant new beginnings.
"We look forward to more organisations moving into the ACE Centre to share in collaborative partnership-working within great surroundings and with unbeatable views of Pendle!
"Please help us to cater by letting us know if you'll be coming to our event by calling Cheryl or Laura on (01282) 619913 ext 105, or e-mailing Laura at laura@pendlecommunitynetwork.org.uk"
Nelson's Enterprise Centre is managed by Kirsty Rhodes on behalf of Pendle Enterprise and Regeneration Ltd (PEARL) -a partnership between Pendle Council and Barnfield Investment Properties.
A mixture of start-up, established and national organisations have aleady taken up some of the 33 managed workspaces.
These include charity Community Northwest, Amor Media Productions, Network China and Heritage Homecare Service.
Kirsty said: "The Enterprise Centre offers local businesses the most modern, spacious and affordable accommodation in Pendle.
"As well as renting an office, you can rent a desk in a shared office for only £25 per week or use the Centre as virtual office space. This means the reception will act as a postal address and telephone service without the costs of premises.
"Our partnership with Pendle Leisure Trust, which runs the ground and first floor of the Centre, means that you'll receive a 15% discount in the ACE Centre's Bistro."
She explained "Suites range in size from 321sq ft to 1461sq ft and are offered furnished if required. Phone and broadband packages can be also be arranged
"This allows companies to move in quickly with minimal set-up costs.
"New tenants can also benefit from flexible easy-in, easy-out lease arrangements. This means entrepreneurs can take their first step into their own offices without fear of a heavy commitment around their necks.
"In some cases we're also able to provide incentives to help you get started - this can only be good news for growing businesses!"
Councillor Mike Blomeley, who has responsibility for Economic Development, added: "These excellent fully serviced offices are ideal for our budding entrepreneurs to get their first step on the business ladder.
"They're inexpensive to rent so that businesses can budget easily and the serviced reception is very welcoming and professional."
