Are you itching to have your say?

An innovative website which gives residents in East Lancashire a chance to have their say and find out more about their local area is about to be launched.
Councils in Burnley, Pendle, Hyndburn and Ribble Valley have come together to develop this dynamic way of interacting with their local residents.
The website, www.feedbackonline.org.uk, was created with the financial support of NHS East Lancashire. Lancashire County Council also played a big role.
It comes after residents said they want to know what's happening in their local area and want to have a say on issues which are important to them.
Philip Mousdale, Executive Director at Pendle Council, explained:
"That's why we've created this interactive and user-friendly tool which means they can do just that!
"Feedbackonline includes information from a wide range of public service providers. The site allows residents to tailor the content to their area and interests."
By logging on to Feedbackonline, you can:
- See what decisions are taking place in your area
- Create or add your name to petitions on local issues
- Take part in consultations and look at previous results
- Join discussion forums
- Read blogs posted by public service providers in your area and add comments
- Find a nursery, sell a car or organise a community group by joining the community notice board.
Councillor Mike Blomeley, Leader of Pendle Council, added:
"If you simply want to know what's going on in your area or have your say on local issues, Feedbackonline should be right up your street!
"This is a really useful facility for us all as we work together to improve how we communicate and consult with residents.
"For those residents who don't have an internet service at home, access is easy at our local libraries as well as some other venues around Pendle. Plus, of course, there are other ways we inform and involve residents."
The new Feedbackonline website has been live since the beginning of this month. So if you've got something to say, or simply want to know what's going on in your area, then log on to www.feedbackonline.org.uk
