What is the LDS?

The Local Development Scheme (LDS) sets out the project plan for the production of all DPDs and SPDs which will make up the Local Development Framework (LDF) for Pendle.

The LDS provides information to the community and other stakeholders regarding the production of LDF documents. The LDS includes a timetable which identifies the key stages for the preparation of each document.

Current Status of the LDS

Pendle Borough Council have prepared a third revision to the Local Development Scheme (LDS) which was considered by Government Office for the North West on behalf of the Secretary of State. This was brought into effect on the 31st December 2008.

Previous Work Stages

The Council had previously published a LDS, first revision LDS and second revision LDS in 2005, 2006 and 2007 respectively. The third revision LDS supercedes these versions.
