Help with Loft and Cavity Wall Insulation
What is it?
Pendle Council can direct you to schemes offering substantially discounted loft insulation and cavity wall insulation to private home owners in Pendle to reduce energy use.
Discounted insulation is available to ALL owner-occupiers and landlords of occupied private rented property, regardless of income and personal circumstances.
By insulating your property you will help the environment, make your home warmer, and reduce your fuel bills.
Generally speaking, Cavity Walls can only be filled in property built after 1920 and where constructed of two masonry (brick or block) walls, with a cavity (gap) of at least 50mm between.
Loft insulation is simply laid over the floor of the loft, between and then over the joists if they are visible to a recommended depth of 275mm.
