Community Toilet Scheme
The community toilet scheme is a six month pilot scheme taking place in Nelson town centre. The Admiral's Marketplace, the ACE Centre and Morrison's supermarket have all joined in to make their toilets available to the public to use for free - and without any obligation to buy goods or services.
All three organisations have toilets that are accessible to people with disabilities and that have baby change facilities.
The new community toilet scheme complements the Council's public toilets in Market Street by providing loos which are open into the evening. Signposts showing opening times and locations of the new loos have been placed around Nelson town centre.
