Introduction to the Whitefield Townscape Heritage Initiative
Introduction
In recognition of the special architectural and historic interest of the Whitefield Conservation Area, a Townscape Heritage Initiative conservation grant scheme has been established in order to enhance and bring back into use buildings and features which make the area so special.
With financial support from the Heritage Lottery Fund and other agencies various projects are currently underway:

Conserving the Whitefield Conservation Area into the future
Caring for Stone Buildings - A Programme of Events
The Heritage Trust for the North West has recently put together a programme of lecture, seminars and tours relating to three THI projects across Pennine Lancashire. These include training days on a variety of heritage skills. You can download the programme of events here.
