Residents' Parking
Introduction
In these pages, we'll explain everything you need to know about residents-only parking schemes, whether you've just moved into a property which is part of a residents-only parking scheme or you want to know how to get a scheme introduced in your street.
Before we go any further, we should explain that when talking about residents-only parking schemes we are referring specifically to schemes whereby parking places on the public highway are reserved for permit holders.
Residents-only parking schemes therefore do not include private off-street parking areas (car parks), even though such areas often have signs on display which state they are available only for residents.
