2013 Register of Electors - Household canvass
Due to the election for Police and Crime Commissioners on Thursday, 15th November 2012, the household canvass of eligible electors will start earlier than normal. Our canvassers will deliver the forms to each house in Pendle by 8th July 2012. If you have not received your form by then contact us at elections@pendle.gov.uk
What you need to do when you get your form:
- Check the address is correct
- Check any names printed on the form are members of your household and will normally be living there on 15th October
- Check their names are spelt correctly
- Cross off the names of anyone no longer living at your address
- Add the names of anyone living with you who is 16 or 17 years old and write their dates of birth in the appropriate column
- If the form is blank, add the names of everyone in your house who is 18 years old or over and add anyone who is 16 or 17 with their dates of birth so that they can vote as soon as they are 18
- Complete any other columns on the form which apply to people in your household
If all the details on your form are correct and you have not had to make any alterations the quick and easy way to register is by:
- Ringing the freephone number
- Sending a text message
- Visiting the website address
Full details are given on your form. Once done, you can recycle the form - please do not return it by post as it will only add to the cost of the canvass.
If you have had to add or cross out any details then you must sign the form and return it in the pre-paid envelope. Using the online, text or freephone service will not register any changes you have made to the form.
