Protection of data and subject access requests
Section 7 of the Data Protection Act 1998 allows you to find out what information is held about you on computer and in some paper records.
This is called the right of subject access. All subject access requests must be made in writing and should include two forms of ID and details regarding the data you wish to access.
The Council is entitled to charge up to £10 for access to most personal information, but at the moment does not impose this fee.
If you have any questions, contact the Data Protection Officer.
