Process documents

There are three key documents that councils have to prepare as part of the Local Plan process.

Process Documents were introduced as part of the reforms made to the planning system through the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004.

Local Development Scheme (LDS)

This document sets out the timetable for the preparation of new Local Plan documents.

Fifth revision LDS approved at Executive on 26th June 2014.

Statement of Community Involvement (SCI)

This document sets out how the Council will involve the local community and key stakeholders in the preparation of Local Plan documents.

Third revision, approved 22nd September 2022.

Authority's Monitoring Report (AMR)

This document provides information relating to the performance of policies within each Local Plan document.

AMR updated annually.

2017 AMR approved at Executive on 14th December 2017.
