Pendle Ward Profiles
Demographic Information by Ward
The Indices of Deprivation 2010 was published in March 2011 to show combined deprivation scores across England, which are made up of 'domains' and 'indicators' covering a variety of economic and social issues.
These scores allow Pendle to be compared against the other 325 councils in the country. Central government base a lot of their funding decisions on these deprivation scores so councils use the data to identify areas for improvement and highlight the need for extra funding.
