We are proud to currently have the Green Flag award for seven of our parks: Alkincoats Park, Colne; Barrowford Park, Barrowford; Heyhead Park, Brierfield; Marsden Park, Nelson; Valley Gardens, Barnoldswick; Victoria Park, Nelson, and Walverden Park, Nelson and are hoping to roll this out to more parks in forthcoming years.
We are aiming to have 70% of the boroughs' parks with a prestigious Green Flag award by the year 2017 which is a respected national standard for parks and green spaces.
