We currently have 28 football pitches in Pendle. These include 10 junior 7-a-side pitches, 2 Junior 9-a-side pitches and 16 full size senior pitches. Pitches are available for hire from August through to May each year.

Football Fixtures

Pitch allocation forms (including fees and charges) for the forthcoming season are sent out annually usually during June.

The cutting and marking out of pitches is carried out by the Council's Landscape Maintenance Team on a weekly basis. We also carry out an annual pitch renovation programme at the end of the football season which involves putting on top dressing, seeding and other works.

Pitches are inspected on Saturday and Sunday mornings during Winter.

The Council also organise and run, in partnership with Barrowford Celtic Boys Club, the annual Pendle Youth Football Tournament.

The Council work with local football clubs and leagues to improve all aspects of football and are members of the Pendle Football Forum.

The Forum was set up in 2006 with the aim of promoting, developing and furthering the interests and opportunities for football at all levels across Pendle.
