This vision is taken from Brierfield's Area Development Framework (ADF), a regeneration plan for the next 10-15 years. It was developed by consultants GVA Grimley after an 8 month consultation process which included walkabouts, hands on planning events and public meetings with residents and local agencies and businesses.
Regeneration will play on the town's strengths including:
- An increased population
- Good motorway access
- The Leeds and Liverpool Canal
- High levels of owner occupancy
- Established community groups
