Nelson Cemetery
Nelson Cemetery is situated off Walton Lane, Nelson, measuring 4.22 hectares in size and is one of our more urban style cemeteries. Nelson Cemetery has been open since 1895.

The cemetery is open 8.00 am to 9.00 pm everyday, and is accessible to cars.
The site incorporates a Chapel of Rest which is available for funeral services. Nelson Cemetery also offers a memorial niche wall for the placing of cremated remains

Nelson Cemetery has within its confines a dedicated Muslim burial section.
We have carefully placed seating in the cemetery to ensure visitors are able to sit and contemplate and remember their loved ones. We have also ensured there are sufficient water supplies and waste baskets to help maintain the gravesides of your nearest and dearest.
