All About Your Council Tax
Where does my Council Tax go?
After taking off spending paid for by specific grants, the total spending figure for the county council in the Pendle area is £64 million and for Pendle Borough Council is £14.3 million. Pendle residents also benefit from services provided by the police and fire authorities, but these are not broken down by district area.
Pendle Borough Council
For 2012/2013 we have agreed a Council Tax for band D properties of £240.38. This is the same as the 2011/2012 figure. In addition, some parish and town councils in the borough have made charges ('precepts') for their own expenses.
Lancashire County Council
