Chief Executive, Stephen Barnes
The Chief Executive is responsible for the overall policy and direction of the Council and for the coordination and performance of its staff. He is the lead adviser to the Council and its Executive and is the head of paid service. He represents the Council on a number of strategic partnerships with other councils, public sector agencies and private sector interests. He is the primary link with the Council's private sector partner, Liberata, who provide a number of services for the Council.

Director (Services) and Deputy Chief Executive, Philip Mousdale
He has particular responsibility for customer services, public engagement, democracy and governance. This covers the development of the Council's contact centre, council shops and other reception points; public services such as refuse collection, parks and environmental health; communications; complaints; elections and member and officer conduct.
He is the Director of Environmental and Recreation Services and works closely with Central Services and Policy Services.
Philip is the statutory Monitoring Officer and also coordinates the Barrowford and Western Parishes Committee. He deputises for the Chief Executive.

Director (Regeneration), Brian Cookson
He has particular responsibility for housing and economic regeneration in the Borough. This covers strategic planning and development issues, as well as major programmes of capital and revenue investment in housing, economic development, environmental improvement, town centres, tourism and events.
He is the Director for Regeneration Services which includes Engineering and Special Projects, Planning and Building Control, and Regeneration Services. An important part of his work is with outside bodies and with private sector companies to bring appropriate investment into the Borough.
Brian also coordinates the Nelson Committee.
