Pendle Borough Council

Citizens' Panel

About Us

The Citizens' Panel has over 1000 members, who were recruited to be representative of the adult population of the Pendle. Panel members typically serve a maximum of 3 years, with some members retiring and others joining at periodic intervals. The three-year rule is to keep the panel fresh and not "institutionalised".

The Pendle Citizens' Panel has now joined with the Citizens' Panels in Hyndburn, Burnley, Ribble Valley and Rossendale to form the East Lancashire Citizens' Panel. Members are sent approximately three East Lancashire wide surveys and two Pendle-only surveys each year.

Would you like to influence Pendle Council's policies and services? We are particularly short of people under 35 years of age, and especially those aged between 16 and 24.

We also need to recruit more Asian-heritage men and women aged 35 and over. If you would like to become a member, please  ring Kris Barker on 01282 661614 or register online at the Feedback Online website
