Breathing new life into Pendle

By securing funding to assist the transformation of derelict and vacant sites, the Economic Development Unit has helped to breathe new life intopreviously neglected areas of Pendle.

In the past we have grant assisted businesses through Finance for Growth Grant project, unfortunately this funding is no longer available. To see case studies of some of these businesses click on the link http://www.pendle.gov.uk/downloads/download/2428/ffg_case_studies

Director Mark Brown of this local shopfitting company commented, "Our move into the Pendle area has been very successful. A complicated and expensive relocation procedure was considerably eased due to the help and support of the Pendle Regeneration Unit."

Bannisters Bakery
Phil Bannister of Bannisters Bakery is very grateful for the financial support that eased the path towards the acquisition of a new building to house the well known traditional Nelson business. "I doubt we could have realised our ambitions so quickly without the involvement of the Regeneration Unit. They have been a constant help and their staff smoothed the way through the application process to enable Bannisters to obtain much appreciated grant support."

Farmhouse Biscuits
Philip McIvor, Managing Director of Farmhouse Biscuits says "The Regeneration Unit helped to secure a funding package so that we could construct an extension of our factory, helping us to meet growing demand and keep 120 jobs in Pendle."
