Environmental Education Programme

School visits available

In March 2007 Lancashire County Council and Blackpool Council signed a ground-breaking sustainable waste contract with Global Renewables Ltd to reduce, reuse and recycle waste collected from Lancashire households.

The contract also includes the provision of an exciting new environmental education service for Lancashire and Blackpool primary schools.

This innovative programme has been developed and is delivered by the Environmental Education Team at Global Renewables and is available to KS2 pupils in primary and special schools and aims to encourage the children and the whole school community to think differently about waste.

The team comes to you in school and delivers a choice of fun, hands on and practical sessions focused on reduce, reuse and recycle.

The programme also has a downloadable resource pack called Adventures on the Environmental Journey containing challenges for pupils to make a difference in your school.

Further information about the pack, the programme, and how to book can be found by visiting www.globalrenewables.co.uk/education
