Partners

Pendle Council works with a number of partners in the local area to plan ahead and join up the way we deliver services.

They include Pendle Partnership (police, fire, NHS East Lancashire, schools and colleges, local businesses and community, voluntary and faith groups); other local councils (parish and town councils in Pendle, Lancashire County Council and neighbouring councils in Pennine Lancashire); private sector partners (eg. Liberata, Barnfield Investment Properties); Housing Pendle, and Pendle Leisure Trust.

By joining forces we believe we stand a better chance of improving the lives of people in Pendle.

Pendle Partnership

A local strategic partnership (LSP) is a non-statutory body that brings together the different parts of the public, private, voluntary and community sectors, working at a local level. Pendle's LSP, is known as Pendle Partnership.

It includes police, fire, NHS East Lancashire, Lancashire County Council, Pendle Council, schools and colleges, local businesses and community, voluntary and faith groups.

Housing Pendle

Housing Pendle is a not-for-profit housing company providing property management and development opportunities. Housing Pendle took over management of public (council) housing in Pendle in 2006.

Visit Pendle

Pendle's tourist information website and visitor centre. Visit Pendle promotes tourism in the area and provides information to visitors.

Lancashire County Council

Lancashire County Council are responsible for some of the services provided in Pendle, such as gritting, libraries, highways, education and social services.

Parish and Town Councils

Pendle has 19 town and parish councils, who have responsibility for s number of services, such as local events and allotments.

Liberata

Liberata provide some Pendle Borough Council services (Customer Services, Benefits, Revenues, Information Technology, Property, Quantity Surveying, Architects and Human Resources) for the Council as part of a public/private partnership.

Pendle Leisure Trust

As well as providing multi-purpose centres for swimming, fitness, sports, exercise and entertainment, Pendle Leisure Trust also has staff dedicated to providing specialist projects relating to Healthy Lifestyles, Sports Development and Arts Development.

Pennine Lancashire Gateway

The Pennine Lancashire authorities, along with central government, have made a commitment to work together, transform the area and enable everyone in Pennine Lancashire to enjoy a better quality of life.

PEARL2/Barnfield Construction

PEARL2 is Pendle Council's joint venture with Barnfield Construction, set up tp tackle regeneration projects throughout Pendle.
