Housing Performance

Strategic housing is responsible for reporting to the Department of Communities and Local government (CLG) on housing performance. This is done on an annual basis, whereby data is collated from various departments within the council and external partners such as Registered Providers using the Housing Strategy Statistical Appendices form (HSSA) and Housing Flow Reconciliation form (HFR). 

The data is not only used for reporting to CLG to inform their business objectives and central policy development but is also very useful for internal and external partners to gain an understanding of the authority's position.

The HSSA includes data on:-

• Dwelling stock
• Condition of private sector housing
• Housing waiting lists and choice-based lettings
• Lettings, nominations and mobility schemes
• Homelessness (now named 'Lettings to statutorily homeless acceptances')
• Housing Capital Expenditure
• Cash Incentive Scheme Grants
• Private sector renewal assistance
• Provision of affordable housing
• Possession orders, evictions, demotion orders and injunctions obtained by local authority landlords
