Lancashire Innovation Network

Innovation and Technology Support for Small Business

The Lancashire Innovation Network (LIN) provides practical innovation and technology support to small businesses and the wider community.

In 2010, LIN secured funding from the European Regional Development Fund to deliver our services not only to Pendle but to the wider Lancashire area under the banner of Regenerate Pennine Lancashire.

The Lancashire Innovation Network is delivered by Regenerate Pennine Lancashire's team of experienced, independent advisers who will provide free impartial advice, guidance and financial assistance for technology and innovation projects. The project supports Small to Medium enterprises across the whole of Lancashire.

The team provides in-depth one-to-one support to assess how innovative change can benefit businesses, and expertise can also be leveraged externally from the private sector or from the region's universities and colleges. Partial financial support to a maximum of £5,000 is also available together with opportunities to access additional support via partners, including Rosebud Financial Solutions.

Key services include:

  • Product/process innovation
  • Information technology/e-business

LIN can help your business:

Identify the best technologies to improve your business

LIN aims to promote new technology to existing and start-up businesses, especially the use of new technology in manufacturing and online solutions for businesses. LIN can help businesses identify the best available technologies to improve or replace existing practices.

Develop and protect your ideas

LIN can help take a concept from initial idea through prototyping and on to full market launch through advice, support and partial funding. LIN also offers expert advice on legal issues concerning intellectual property rights.
