Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can a car use a drop down kerb or pavement as access to a parking space within house grounds?
Members of the public wanting to have their kerb lowered in order to drive a car over the footway to gain entry to their property require a properly constructed dropped crossing. There is a formal procedure for members of the public to apply for such a crossing.
The person making a request for a dropped crossing must formally apply in writing or via e-mail including all contact information, location of crossing and any other issues of concern.
