What is the Pendle Conservation Area Design and Development Guidance SPD?
The purpose of the SPD is to support the policy in the adopted Pendle Local Plan relating to areas of special architectural or historic interest. The SPD is now a material consideration when determining planning applications in Pendle's conservation areas. It will therefore be of use to applicants in devising planning applications and also to owners of properties in conservation areas.
Current status of the SPD
The Pendle Conservation Area Design and Development Guidance SPD was adopted by Pendle Council on the 14th August 2008. The SPD is available to download below, together with other documents that the Council has had to produce during the preparation of the SPD.
