Pendle Cycle Festival
Welcome to www.pendle.gov.uk/cyclefest
Pendle Cycle Fest, sponsored by cottages4you, now in its eighth year, draws thousands of spectators and participants.
The Colne Town Centre Grand Prix in July attracts many of the country's top riders, previously including Olympic and World Champions Bradley Wiggins, Chris Newton, Paul Manning, Rob Hayles and Ed Clancy.
The Cycle Fest aims to encourage local people to get on their bikes and into a healthier lifestyle. It promotes cycling for its benefits to the environment and a way for local people to enjoy Pendle's countryside.
Cycling in Pendle
Pendle Guided Cycle Rides
Guided cycle rides in Pendle throughout the summer. These rides are organised and led by the local cycling clubs, taking newcomers, families and enthusiasts alike on easy-paced rides around the area. They utilise traffic-free and quiet lanes, avoiding hills and including cafe stops. They are free to join in - all you need is a bike. And if you don't have one of your own, you can hire one for £1.50!
Cycling Breaks
Make a break of it! A Cycling Break Pack can be sent out to you,
including a Visitor and Accommodation brochure, as well as information
on the many
cycling routes (on and off road) in the area.
