Archaeological Service
The Archaeological Service was established to provide a strategic framework for the protection of historical and archaeological sites in Lancashire, which includes advising
on planning proposals for new developments where the development may
impact on such sites and monuments.
They also provide a day-to-day advice, information, and consultancy service, and maintain the Lancashire Sites and Monuments records.
