Fire safety - business
In October 2006 the government introduced the Regulatory Reform (Fire
Safety) Order 2005. The changes were designed to make the law easier to
comply with and understand.
Responsibility for fire safety belongs to the responsible person who must make sure their business complies with fire regulations. Whether your business is small or large, you are required by law to carry out a fire risk assessment of your premises and produce an emergency plan.
The new regulations apply to practically all premises, except single
