Primary School Places
Children are not required to start school until the term following their fifth birthday. In Lancashire, however, all children who have their fifth birthday between 1 September and 31 August of the following year may start school in the September if their parents / carers wish it.
To make the process of applying for a place as easy as possible, parents can apply online or complete a paper application form. Completed paper applications should be returned to your first preference Primary School.
Lancashire County Council provide Primary Schools services in Pendle.
Secondary School Places
Parents must express all their Secondary School preferences by either completing an on-line application or a paper application (not both). In addition a supplementary form may also be required by most Voluntary Aided Schools and Foundation Schools. This is not a legal requirement but must be completed if you want your application to be assessed against the schools admission policy.
