Licence - public entertainment
Under the Licensing Act 2003, a premises licence is required for the sale or supply of alcohol, the
provision of hot drinks or hot food between 11pm and 5am, or regulated
entertainment.

This includes entertainment taking place in cinemas, theatres and music venues.
It also includes the provision of entertainment facilities, such as the playing of recorded music, provision of a dance floor, and karaoke machines.
