Land use - change of use proposals

Plan with a pencil and tape measure on itThe local authority decides on the use to which local land can be put in accordance with their economic, planning and environmental strategies. Any proposals for change in use of land have to be approved by the local planning department.

Planning decisions are made in accordance with development plans for the District (namely the Joint Lancashire Structure Plan and Pendle Local Plan) unless other material considerations indicate otherwise.
