Licence - acupuncture, tattooists, semi-permanent skin colouring, ear-piercing and electrolysis
The Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 requires that all persons that carry out personal treatments (acupuncture, tattooing, ear piercing and electrolysis) be registered with the local authority.

Officers will visit the premises to ensure they comply with the requirements of both the Act and any local Bylaws, and a fee is payable with each application.

Accessibility
An inspector will visit the premises and check that the relevant qualifications have been obtained. A fee of £178 is payable with every application.
