Lancashire Outdoor Education (LOE)

LOE is a major provider of outdoor and residential facilities. Each of our centres has their own distinct character and specialism. All our centres provide a warm welcome, with friendly staff and great food.

Whitehough

Whitehough occupies a secluded 20 acre site with deciduous and coniferous woodlands giving it a sheltered and secure location with easy access to the hills, moorland and inland water of East Lancashire. Whitehough is one of the oldest providers of outdoor education and multi-activity courses in the country.

Recent refurbishment throughout the Centre has revitalised the accommodation and superbly enhanced its facilities. Courses at the Centre have been developed to introduce a complete range of outdoor and adventurous activities to meet the curricular needs of school groups, as well as developing Management Training and team building programmes for business and adult groups. The Centre's strength lies in its ability to tailor make courses to the requirements of its users.

Whitehough's exceptional facilities for off road riding with its purpose built teaching and workshop area, means it continues to be a Centre of Excellence for Mountain Bike Leader Training serving North West of England.
