Abandoned vehicles

Abandoned vehiclePendle Borough Council will deal with any vehicles reported as abandoned on local roads or property (usually including private property). The vehicle will be removed if it is causing a public nuisance, is untaxed or if has not been removed by the owner a specified length of time after a notice of removal has been placed on the vehicle.

Additonal information: In order for the reporting officer to go out and put a notice on the offending vehicle you will need to gather as much information as possible, for example, registration number, colour, manufacturer etc. This is needed to find the exact vehicle that is abandoned.

This service is available Monday to Friday from 8.45 am to 5.00 pm. Outside of office hours, abandoned vehicles can be reported using our electronic Abandoned Vehicles Form, or by e-mailing the above address.
