Licensing - enforcement
Pendle Council's licensing staff process and grant (or refuse) licences under the appropriate pieces
of legislation. We also issue licences and grant permissions for house to house
collections, street collections, street trading consents and can act on
behalf of the Security Industry Authority (SIA) in relation to licences
granted to door supervisors.
Enforcement of the law and the conditions of the licences issues is carried out by the Enforcement Officer. He conducts routine visits as well as following up complaints from the public about issues such as pub noise, under-age alcohol sales and inappropriate drinking.
