Air ambulance
For urgent medical attention and transport to a hospital:
Dial 999 and ask for an Ambulance
Be ready to give details of the incident, such as your location, telephone number and the condition of the patient(s). Ambulance control staff will give you advice on how to help the patient until the ambulance crew arrives.
Stay calm, and stay on the telephone unless otherwise instructed.

Air Ambulance
The North West Air Ambulance service monitors 999 calls constantly. If a call comes in that requires its special service - such as a patient needing transport to a hospital from a congested motorway accident or a remote country area - then the air ambulance is despatched.
